Psychology in Media

Psychology is the study of the mind and behavior which can include many different types such as cognitive, social, development, and forensic. It looks into the conscious and unconscious phenomena of the mind and its function. Many psychologists have differing perspectives on how to approach psychology, such as the biological, psychodynamic, behavioral, cognitive, and humanistic approaches.

The media is an influential tool and is a means of mass communication for spreading news, music, data, messages, and more. Examples include television, radio, cinema, newspapers, magazines, and blogs. The way psychology is presented through the media can greatly impact how people view and understand it.

By combing the two, we at HARK hope to increase your knowledge and interest in psychology, as well as give insight into how it is constantly working in the world around you. We feel that people of all ages benefit from knowing about psychology because they are encouraged to look back on themselves and the people around them as they grow and develop.
